League Guidelines / Regulation Changes for 2020

  • Playing tennis safely: Player tips and recommendations.
  • Rescheduling Matches
    • Since this season has been dramatically affected by COVID-19, teams will be allowed to request to reschedule matches, which is a modification to the “Non-Mandatory Rules for Rescheduling Matches (Colorado Regulations 10.00).
    • The opposing team still has the right to refuse to reschedule a match if it does not fall under Colorado Regulation 11.00 for Mandatory Reschedules.
    • In the past teams could not request a reschedule. This year, reschedules may be requested, but teams are not required to accept.
  • Tennis Balls
    • Each home team must still provide a can new, approved of balls for each line during a match.
    • Any player who does not want to share tennis balls shall bring his/her own can of new, approved balls to each match.
  • State, local ordinances and Facility rules
    • All players must follow State and local ordinances and facility policies and procedures.
  • Players are responsible for bringing their own water and hand sanitizer.
  • Social distancing should still occur and gathering after matches is not recommended (be sure to follow facility protocols).
  • Score tenders may not be available for use, so players may want to bring a pad of paper and pencil to keep track of the set score.

Captains’ Information
CLICK HERE to go to the Captains’ Information page. Captains should read over all rules and regulations as well as The Code.

Captains’ Phone Numbers
Can’t see captains’ phone numbers?
All captains and co-captains will be able to see opposing team captains’ phone numbers on the match schedules as long as they have logged in to TennisLink. If the phone numbers do not appear, please make sure you are logged in.

Directions for away matches
Please see our Court Locator for directions to any of the sites that will be hosting league matches. This is the most accurate location to find maps and directions to the opposing teams’ site. Do not rely on the address listed in TennisLink, as those addresses are based on the mailing address for the organization and not the physical address for the tennis courts.

Facility Usage Reports
Facility coordinators can download facility usage reports from the Facility Coordinator Information page.

Focus on Sportsmanship
This year is probably the best example of a time when good sportsmanship should prevail. After all that everyone has been through over the past few months, it’s extremely exciting that tennis is back! Please remember to observe good sportsmanship and to follow The Code of Tennis.
