Adams to be inducted to Black Tennis HOF

Long-time Colorado tennis volunteer and coach Frank Adams has been named a 2021 inductee into the Black Tennis Hall of Fame. Adams, a former president of both the USTA Colorado District and the USTA Intermountain Section, has been a passionate advocate for players from all backgrounds, all abilities, and all ages, especially 10 and under players.

In addition to serving the USTA tennis community in numerous capacities, Adams is well known for his work with Special Olympics and wheelchair tennis players. He has received numerous awards at local and regional levels for volunteering, coaching, service to his tennis community, and in 2017 was named PTR’s Professional of the Year. 

In 2011, Adams was featured in USTA Colorado’s Breaking the Barriers Exhibition in Courage exhibit, a photographic celebration of African American tennis achievement in Colorado.
