Junior Level 4 Tournament update
Last week, Parents, Players, and Coaches should have received communication regarding the rescheduling of the Level 4 “Summer Masters” which is now called the “USTA Level 4 Intermountain BG…” event. This email will contain details and updates of this event so please be sure to read carefully if you plan to register for this.
- The dates have been changed from my original email which had Oct 8-11 to now being Oct 9-12. All play will begin on Friday, October 9th. This decision was made to allow for more tournament play to happen through the weekend as opposed to beginning on a Thursday.
- Draw sizes for all age divisions are 32 for the singles and 16 teams for doubles.
- Draw formats will be the following:
- 12s-14s singles = Compass Draws
- 16s-18s singles = FIC through the rd of 16
- 12s-18s doubles = Single Elimination
- Singles scoring will be two out of three sets with a match tiebreaker for the third. Doubles scoring will be 8-game pro sets.
- Every effort will be made to give players in the 16s and 18s division 3 scheduled singles matches even for players who lose their first two rounds.
There will be a hard entry deadline of Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 30. NO late entries will be accepted!!
For players who were registered in the original Level 4 Summer Masters, they MUST register again for this event as this is a new event with new tournament directors and new locations. Entries from the Summer Masters homepage will NOT transfer over to the new tournament.
